David V. Cresson is Founder and President
of Consumer Survey Center. He is a graduate of The University
of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School of Business and Commerce in
1960, and has further post-graduate studies at Asia Pacific
International University.
His career began in Princeton, working with Dr. George Gallup
at Gallup and Robinson. There, he was responsible for the
administration, execution and reporting of marketing and
advertising research projects for the company's clients. He
was also involved in sales and service.
In 1964 Dave became Marketing Research Manager with American
Tobacco Company (American Brands) in New York City. He was
closely involved in the company's marketing and planning
functions, working with its advertising and other promotional
agencies.
He moved to San Francisco in 1967 to accept a position as
Director of Marketing Research for California Canners and Growers.
He also served the company as Brand Manager and Product Marketing
Manager for Canned Tomato Products, among others - a responsibility
embracing all marketing activities for a group of consumer
products.
Dave was a founder of Consumer Survey Center in 1970 and
became its President in 1976. He has over four decades of uninterrupted
experience in marketing and marketing research.
Ed Anderson is Senior Analyst at Consumer
Survey Center. He
graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1987,
and earned his Master's degree in International Relations from
the International University of Japan in 1989 and an MBA from
Europe's IESE (Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la
Empresa) in Barcelona, Spain in 1994.
Mr. Anderson began his career in market research in 1981 as a
telephone interviewer at Consumer Survey Center's Central Telephone
Interviewing Facility. After developing notable interviewing
skills, he advanced to assistant supervisor, helping oversee
all aspects of daily field operations. He left the company for
a number of years to pursue his academic objectives and
acquire international professional experience.
After completing his studies at the International University
of Japan, Mr. Anderson worked for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Japan
from 1989 to 1992 in the Market Research and Product Marketing
Departments.
In the Market Research Department, he was involved in the
company's market reports, sales force productivity analyses,
and product pre-launch research.
In the Product Marketing Department, he engaged in marketing
campaign planning.
Mr. Anderson left Pfizer Pharmaceuticals to acquire
an MBA at IESE, one of Europe's top business schools.
Timothy J. Garlick is Consumer Survey Center's
Director of Information Technology. He brings nearly two decades of
computer and networking experience to the organization.
Tim earned his Bachelors of Arts in Computer Information Science from
the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1985. After graduating, he
served as a Computer Technician, Network Analyst, and Systems Programmer at the University.
From 1992 to 1993 Tim was a consultant to San Jose State University,
configuring and installing systems servers and workstations, and
providing Unix and networking training for the computer systems staff.
From 1993 to 1994 he was the University's Network Manager.
Tim co-founded and managed Scruz-Net, Inc., one of the first Internet
Service Providers in California, turning the Santa Cruz, CA business into
a multi-million dollar, mid-sized regional provider.
In 1996 Tim went to Silicon Graphics, serving for three years as a
Network Architect/Program Manager, responsible for various
corporate-wide network services, including the world-wide WAN
and network security.
Tim joined Consumer Survey Center in 1999. He oversees the technical
aspects of the company's computer-based research, including data
collection and disposition tracking of web-based surveys.
Sheila Huber is Director of Field Services,
responsible for the professional execution of Consumer Survey Center’s telephone interviewing.
A professional telephone center manager since 1980, Sheila brings to this position full credentials in administration and in teaching.
She is a 1965 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, and
earned her MPA (Master's of Public Administration) from the
College of Notre Dame in Belmont in 1990.
Prior to joining Consumer Survey Center, Ms. Huber taught school
for seven years (in Michigan, Australia, and California). In
addition, she has served as director of pre-school and day care
centers.
This educational and administrative background is invaluable in the day-to-day management of telephone interviewing. She excels at interviewer training, maintaining superior probing of open-ended questions, and ensuring questionnaire quality while meeting quota requirements and client deadlines.
